November 2008 - Manager departs

Dr Shamim Jagot, manager of Watford CAB leaves the Bureau at the end of the month after having been at the head of the organisation for over 8 years. He said he took many happy memories with him, especially of the people working in the organisation. He wished the Bureau success for the future.

November 2008 – Launch of telephone helpline

"Watford CAB launch a telephone advice line which will allow callers to listen to advice on a range of topics. The number is 08448 26 97 26. This was part of the Bureau's ongoing access strategy. The Bureau has subscribed to the line which uses the Citizens Advice Information system and it is updated on a regular basis. The calls will cost 5p per minute.

November 2008 - Annual General Meeting

Heather Day, Director, CAB Service in Hertsmere was the guest speaker at the AGM on 13th November. She talked about the ways the 10 CABx in Hertfordshire were working together in partnership.
